Little Miss Mouse is Here!

Hello blog!
I was out for a few days, was in hospital! Was on home for Christmas day with the most amazing present that very woman could ever wish for - with my little daughter Scarlett! She was born on 21st of December, at 12.52 afternoon. Her weight was 3,475 kg and height around 49 cm. I had very quick and easy delivery, with amazing support and care from my partner Ger! I didn't even used any drugs for labor, was nice and easy, and even walked back to the room myself without a wheelchair! Proud mammy I am now! :)
So there she is, my Little Miss Mouse herself:

That's how we looked on the way home on
Christmas day!

Also want to wish everyone Happy and Joyful New Year!

See you next year with new posts,

Bye bye dreads and hello Hair...

Hello blog!
Wasn't blogging for a while, was busy and not in the mood lately. I am still pregnant, on week 40 now. And to be honest just can not wait to go to the labor at this stage!
Doing some knitting too, nothing major just few bits. mite show it in the next post or two. Finished my yellow top and hmmmm.. it didn't turned as I wanted (way too big, for size 14-16 I think, and I am only 8-10, so imagine).
Also what important I did in my life is - I BRUSHED OUT MY DREADS OUT!!! Wasn't happy with them lately, just grew up and got bored from them. And missed my hair madly!!! I had dreads for around 6 years, and enough is enough! Much happier now and can not wait to do loads of new retro hairstyles to them! They are not in greatest condition at the moment, but I have very strong hair so we getting there!

Hope everyone doing fine and getting ready
for Christmas!
We already have our tree up!

Whats going on, Knit Back in Time book and pregnancy update...

Hello hello,
been a while since I post anything here. Sorry about that! :)
I am enjoying being pregnant, enjoying being home with my family, enjoying cooking and also
enjoying knitting. My vintage 1940s sweater nearly finished, only sleeves left, so soon I be bragging about it!
Also got this amazing book recently, and I am totally in love with it! Can't even recommend it highly enough! Be making more lovely vintage cardigans and sweaters soon. I got mine on this site.

Description of the book:
'' Do you have a great new jumper pattern that doesn't match your current obsession for Peter Pan collars? Or have you found an original 1950s pattern for a gorgeous knitted blouse only to realise it's three sizes too small and the recommended yarns haven't been around for at least 20 years? Don't be limited by what is available on-line and in shops. This book shows you how simple it is to change lengths, take out waists, shorten sleeves, and substitute for yarns that are no longer in production. Knit Back in Time reveals two crucial secrets for knitting vintage-style projects: how to update a vintage pattern to suit modern sizes and yarns, and how to customise modern patterns to give them a vintage look. It also provides patterns for vintage-style elements, offering invaluable advice on mixing and matching sleeves, necklines, and collars to create your own designs. You can choose to add a bell-shaped, three-quarter, or ruffled sleeve to the same sweater body, depending on the look you want, or just give in and knit three different jumpers, all from the same basic pattern.''

Moreover to share, I had amazing photoshoot with my college friends Aisling and Laura last nite! Was such a great time and experience. So here few shots from it:

I am nearly 37 weeks on these pictures! So excited!
