Tree by Renato Parolin
Finished that lovely tree by Renato Parolin. Really like it. I used Anchor threads and 28 count Jubilee, dyed by me with Red tea.
Close ups:
Cant really show here how nicely fabric looks. The red tea gave that old rusty look.
Design: Renato Parolin
Fabric: Zweigart 28 count Jubilee Antique White, hand dyed with red tea
Threads: Ahchor stranded cotton in 896 and 969

Hand-dyed floss (froggy floss), part 2
This post is all about magic happening! :)
So after they dried, I sqeeze and toss them with hands, to get away from excess dyes. Then I ironed them for few minutes. And left them for the night.
Today I wash them with soap (any soap will do) and put them nicely to the skeins.
Here skeins straight after ironing.
And here is finished result. Nice!

Hand-dyed floss (froggy floss)
Wasnt blogging for a while, was sooo busy with preparations for my litl man. Its only 2 weeks left, so can happen any day from now. Ohh sooo excited! :)
Started to do few things - Renato Parolin tree, stitching litl strawberries on linen table cloth! So busy as bee!:)
Got 4 skeins of DMC White floss and was planning to hand-dye them with simple acrylic paints. And today decided to make my long ago planned dream come true :)
So first of all I cut 1 skein of DMC white to 4 pieces (about 2m each).
Then I dyed them with acrylics I had.
And the result is:
Now I have to let them dry, and then magic gona happen :) So keep cheking for another post.
Joy in the making,
Froggy
